Get to Know Our Team
The Prepare My Church training course was created and developed by Clearpath Co-Founders Mike Johnson and Bruce Mills based on over 70 combined years of experience operating all around the world. Soft targets are defined by the Oxford dictionary as a person or thing that is relatively unprotected or vulnerable and we specialize in best practices that help soft targets maintain safe and secure environments.

Dr. Chris Michaels
Instructor
Chris Michaels D.D. is a life coach, national speaker and author. He founded the Center for Spiritual Living in Kansas City, Missouri in 1990 and served as its Director for more than two decades before accepting the position at CSL Fort Lauderdale. In addition to being an educator and counselor, Dr. Chris brings over thirty years of experience in running non-profit religious institutions. Dr. Chris possesses great depth in understanding the challenges that today’s houses of worship face by balancing being open and available with being safe and secure.
Mike Johnson brings nearly four decades of experience in the safety, security and emergency preparedness arena, working with governmental, private sector and non-profit organizations around the world. Understanding how “soft targets” such as houses of worship can best mitigate against potential threats and hazards is one of his areas of expertise. Mike is currently the lead Safety Ambassador at the Center for Spiritual Living in Fort Lauderdale and oversees all safety, security and emergency preparedness programs.
